Tokyo Disney Resort has announced a new hotel, which will be the first to be themed on a film franchise.
The Toy Story themed hotel will be the 10th at the resort and is slated to open in fiscal year 2021.
It will feature about 600 rooms spread over 11 floors, with restaurants and a host of immersive Toy Story themed features.
It is described by park operator Oriental Land Co as ‘affordable and family-friendly.’
Guestrooms are modelled on Andy’s bedroom with furniture and room amenities inspired by Woody, Buzz Lightyear and friends.
It will cost about $278 million to construct.
Oriental Land announced a significant US$2.27 billion expansion of the Tokyo DisneySea park earlier this year with plans for a themed port with three new mini-lands and a new luxury hotel.
