After being hidden from the public for about 200 years, royal jewels worn by Marie Antoinette will be auctioned on November 12. If you’ll be writing about the event, might you need a master-jeweler to comment?

About Igal Dahan
Igal Dahan is a fifth generation French jeweler and a global citizen who has lived in France, Israel, Belgium and Thailand before moving to the United States. He is a master designer best known as the founder of the high-end Igal Dahan jewelry collection (www.igaldahan.com) and i.d x-change (www.idx-change.com) jewelry lines that are sold in more than 25 countries worldwide.
Igal followed the traditions of his family including his father who began working for Cartier jewelry as an apprentice when he was 16. After Igal graduated from the Institut de Gemmologie at L’Ecole du Louvre in Paris, he earned a HRD Diamond Certification in Antwerp, Belgium and specialized the buying and selling of precious stones.
In 1992 he began buying and selling precious stones to Graff Diamonds, David Morris, Boucheron, Chaumet, and Van Cleef and Arpels. A year later, he moved to Bangkok, Thailand, with his family where he created an interchangeable ring, making it possible to change the center stone.
In 2003, Igal moved to Los Angeles, where he created the i.d x-change Cuffs Of Love collection, consisting of interlocking cuffs in yellow and white gold. The Cuffs Of Love have been worn by many celebrities including Elton John, Matt Damon, The Hilton Sisters, John Mayer, Kim Kardashian, Carrie Underwood and Kanye West.
In 2017, he returned to his love for precious stones and created Igal Dahan jewelry. His first collection, Saturnalia, is a collection of blue and pink sapphire rings named after Saturn’s many moons. The rings are a tribute to the strength of love and a toast to the beauty of blossoming relationships. Igal Dahan jewelry has also introduced the newest iteration of the popular Cuffs of Love series, The Eros Collection, named after the ancient Greek god of love. The collection features beautiful sets of necklaces, bracelets, pendants, earrings and rings in white or yellow gold and diamonds that sparkle with simple elegance.
