This year the legendary travel guidebook writer Arthur Frommer celebrates 60 years since the publication of his 1957 book, “Europe on $5 a Day.” Yet while planning the perfect trip involves many carefully thought out and well-aligned components, we all know part of any good travel experience should be immersing yourself in a new place – or perhaps wandering around without a plan to find cool spots works for people too. It’s safe to say that knowing where the best local restaurants, hotels, landmarks, entertainment hotspots and shopping centers are located is highly beneficial for the traveler.
Augmented reality (AR) technology, however, is revolutionizing the traveler’s experience by making the journey much more seamless, interactive, and simple. I’d like to introduce you to Aero Glass, a leading developer of AR smart glasses solutions. Its current app provides real-time location data by displaying digital information on top of the real world.
I’ve included a video of its current AR assistant (for the car), which can be viewed at the :44 mark in the video –https://vimeo.com/214587313. This is an early version of a multi-featured AR experience the company is developing in conjunction with a major car manufacturer.
How does your schedule look next week to setup a quick call with the CEO & founder of Aero Glass? I look forward to hearing back from you shortly.
