2019 will mark the 60th year since Cuban dictator Fulgencio Batista fled Cuba following the popular revolution that was spearheaded by Fidel Castro’s 26th of July movement. On 1 January 1959, Batista and a number of his supporters fled Cuba for the Dominican Republic.
